Watermill Jazz presents Evelyn Glennie
This unique collaboration sees pioneering Scottish jazz ensemble Trio HLK team up with the world's premier solo percussionist, Evelyn Glennie. HLK combine modern Jazz and compositional techniques from Contemporary Classical music to deconstruct and reconstruct jazz standards and create intricate new pieces. They draw on a wide range of musical styles including electronica, metal, and Latin music. Evelyn Glennie performs worldwide with the greatest conductors and artists. She fondly recalls having played the first percussion concerto in the history of The Proms at the Albert Hall in 1992, and played a leading role in the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
