The Menuhin Hall is renowned for its superb acoustics and ideal recording facilities, with level access for equipment delivery, excellent direct access from the backstage Green Rooms to the stage via cable ducts, fully-equipped control room and recently installed digital cameras.
The Hall is available for hire for the production of commercial or private recordings, by professional or amateur performers, with the option to bring in your own producers, engineers and equipment, or to make use of our vastly experienced in-house technicians who will ensure that your recording runs smoothly (our Technical Manager is Brian Fifield, formerly of Abbey Road Recording Studios).
Organisations which have recorded here over the years include Decca, NMC, ABRSM, Classical Recording Company, EMI, Abbey Road Outside Recording, BBC, Young Pianist Foundation, with many hirers returning on a regular basis.

The Menuhin Hall is a perfect venue for schools wishing to record performances, make DVDs and/or CDs for competitions, or maybe just as memories of certain years/teachers/individual performances or even as gifts for relatives living far away.
We offer competitive rates to our local schools and can provide either an unedited or edited DVD/ CD depending on your budget.
Recordings of public & private concerts
Organisations or individuals hiring The Menuhin Hall for public or private concerts or special events, can opt to have the occasion recorded as a lasting memory from as little as £60 for an edited CD, £250 for an unedited DVD or up to £1,000 fully edited DVD.
