Testimonials

Read what our clients and visitors think about the Menuhin Hall and our events.

"Surrey Universities of the Third Age are delighted to have been able to use the Menuhin Hall for over eighty study days since its opening. The facilities and setting are a delight to our members and speakers, and we have had excellent all-round support from the Menuhin Hall staff for over ten years now."

Ian Funnell, Chairman Fetcham U3A

"I love playing in the Menuhin Hall. It is a perfect size for chamber music, everyone in the audience is close to the stage. The sound is rich and warm, and envelopes the listener perfectly. It is particularly gratifying for me that it overlooks the field where I played football every day for eight years. Those years at The Yehudi Menuhin School were such an important part of my life, it is an inspiration to return and play for the present generation of young students, who are lucky enough to have such a gem of a concert hall in their front garden."

Colin Carr, International Cellist and Yehudi Menuhin School past pupil

"A beautiful venue for our lectures - greatly appreciated by our members - superb equipment enhances our enjoyment. Thank you YM Hall."

Patricia Corben, Chairman Claremont DFAS

"I have enjoyed concerts, lectures and a number of other functions at The Menuhin Hall over many years. It has been superbly designed as a sympathetic space, acoustically and aesthetically for a great variety of uses. It can be an intimate concert Hall for solo performance, but can also accommodate up to 250 people at a 'Come and Sing' event, or an enthusiastic audience at a jazz concert.

The local U3A Network regularly hold monthly Study Days at the Hall for audiences of up to 200 and the level of support which the organisation enjoys, both technically and physically, is a tribute to the dedicated and professional Front of House staff. The foyer is welcoming and provides an adequate, though crowded space for capacity audiences, for refreshments and informal events. I can highly recommend The Menuhin Hall, which provides a unique opportunity to meet and hear in performance, the highly talented students at the Yehudi Menuhin School, as well as being open to other organisations in the community."

Sheila Hill, Treasurer, Fetcham U3A

"It is a wonderful venue for lectures, the technical staff are excellent, indeed all the staff are most welcoming and helpful. We have had many successful events here."
